Here's everything I ate while at Disney World: From Galaxy's Edge to EPCOT and beyond
Last week, the kind folks over at Disney flew me down to Florida to attend the Disney World Level Up! media event, where a few members of the press and influencers were treated to a trip of a lifetime. We hopped from park to park and experienced Disney Magic first-hand, complete with going on some incredibly fun rides like TRON Lightcyle Power Run, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Avatar: Flight of Passage, Star Wars: Smugglers Run, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
But... A girl's gotta eat, right? And eat I did, my friends. I almost didn't need a plane ride home because I could've rolled myself all the way back up north.
Part of the Disney magic is all the delicious food items one can eat across all four parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. Below, I've got a sneak peek of every food item I consumed while at Disney World for three lovely days.
I'm sorry, but I'm about to make you really hungry.
Magic Kingdom
On our first day, we were taken out and about Magic Kingdom, with a lovely lunch reservation at Be Our Guest, the Beauty and the Beast-themed restaurant. The food was pricy, but it was 100% worth every single penny.
Grilled Filet Mignon with Smashed Potatoes, Haricots Verts, and Sauce au Poivre - The steak was perfectly medium-rare, the veggies were delicious, and the shrimp was wonderful. I could eat this every day.
Dessert Trio - Chocolate Tart, Dark Chocolate Truffle, and Lemon Jam Macaron - While not a big fan of sweets, I tried all three of these and was immediately hooked. The dark chocolate truffle is to die for.
Cheeseburger and pepperoni pizza spring rolls - One of the foods on our To Eat list, these two spring rolls are dangerously delicious. The cheeseburger one in particular, it literally tasted like a cheeseburger.
Chipotle Barbecue French Fries - My friend AJ snagged this one and I got to try some of it. It was absolutely delicious - you really can't go wrong with pulled pork.
Chili-Cheese French Fries - As a huge fan of chili-cheese anything, I ate those up like they were going out of style. A filling snack, easily found by Main Street, USA. I just wish the cheese was meltier. Or, you know, nacho cheese.
Animal Kingdom
Day 2 took us to Animal Kingdom for some Avatar action and then EPCOT to finish our day. That didn't stop me and my guest, AJ, from eating in both parks, though. I wasn't kidding when I said I considered rolling back home.
Chicken and Shrimp Rice Bowl - The Harambe Market over an Animal Kingdom has some of the best African-inspired foods, ever. My chicken and shrimp rice bowl was perfectly spiced and warm, and the blending of the different tastes was phenomenal. I really enjoyed this dish.
Beef and Lamb Kofta Pita - AJ ate the pita dish and also loved it, saying the beef and lamb were exquisite.
EPCOT
During the second half of our day, we strolled around EPCOT for the evening.
Toasted Pretzel Bread with Black Forest Ham and Melted Gruyere Cheese - Hands down, my favorite snack while at EPCOT. The cheese was melted to perfection and it tasted ridiculously good on the forest ham, with the salty pretzel bread taking it all to a whole new level of yummy.
A delicious and private catered dinner - As if we hadn't been spoiled enough, Disney also held a privately catered dinner for us at the GM Test Track Lounge. Scrumptious. Delicious. Chef's kiss.
The tiniest of tiny Tiramisu - Adorable and quite delicious.
Galaxy's Edge, Disney's Hollywood Studios
On Day 3, we visited Galaxy's Edge, the Star Wars world inside Disney's Hollywood Studios, and had some yummy Star Wars-themed snacks at Oga's Cantina.
Oga's Obsession - I can easily see why Oga is obsessed with this jello dish - it is refreshing and fun as a bunch of little pop rockets explode in your mouth.
Happabore Sampler - Thrown off by how it looks? It's ok, I was too. But, I promise, it tastes far better than it looks. The pork cracklings were delicious with their crispy edges and the cheeses were fantastic.
Overall, my experience at Disney World last week can be summed up by one word: spoiled.
On top of providing us with fun swag and a trip of a lifetime, we were also encouraged to go out and try all the foods we wanted. After all, how can one fully experience Disney without indulging in its snacks and fine dining? After all, a dream is a wish your stomach makes.
