If you grew up watching Spongebob Squarepants, wondering what a Krabby Patty tasted like crossed your mind at some point. That said, imagine for a second if you could make your childhood dream a reality. Wendy's could possibly be giving customers the ability to do so in the near future.
At this juncture, you're probably wondering how we got to this point, and it all began with a leak on Reddit. The post, which has since caused pandemonium for every Spongebob fan out there, highlighted a special meal inspired by the show featuring a Krabby Patty, Pineapple Under The Sea Frosty, and medium fries.
In addition to the list of food items that were rumored to be part of the meal, the memo also mentions that the collaboration that would be with Paramount is in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Spongebob Squarepants. The meal would be available for those in the United States, Canada, and Guam.
If this does prove to be legitimate, it will be another awesome release that we didn't know we needed. In a time where we've seen a lot of companies attempt to provide nostalgia, it's hard to find anything more nostalgic than being able to try a Krabby Patty in real life.
More importantly, it means no more having to eat gummy Krabby Patties and attempting to use your imagination to make it seem as if it is the real thing. Millennials and Gen Z alike would rejoice if Wendy's gave us something we will never forget.
However, it is important to reiterate that nothing has been confirmed yet by the company as far as this release goes, which means it's best not to get your hopes up just yet. That said, the memo listed a release date of October 8, should it prove to be true.
