Future NFL Hall of Famer JJ Watt teams up with Culver's for new meal
By Trey Weston
If you are a fan of the NFL, it is hard not to immediately recognize the name JJ Watt. In his 12 seasons in the league he dominated on the defensive side of the field, and caused many quarterbacks to have nightmares. But now that Watt is retired, he has shifted to new side quests, and this one is a team-up with Culver's.
In what is a first for the company, they are doing their first celebrity meal with Wisconsin native JJ Watt. The meal, named the JJ's Way meal, will be available from August 5 to September 29 and features some of Watts's favorite items, including a Culver's Deluxe, cheese curds, a signature Culver's root beer, and a Turtle Sundae made with chocolate custard.
If the meal isn't enough incentive to visit, the promotion will also be helping a good cause. For every purchase of the JJ's Way meal, Culver's will make a $1 donation of up to $100,000 during its time on the menu to the JJ Foundation -- a charity focused on providing funding for after-school athletic programs for middle school children.
As for the decision by Culver's to create a celebrity meal, I don't think they could've picked a better person. Watt was a true professional in the NFL on and off the field while also being from the state of Wisconsin, which is the home of Culver's.
I don't know about you, but I'll be heading over to Culver's and trying this meal. I vividly remember dominating with Watt in Madden and seeing him dominate during his tenure in the NFL. And now there's an excuse to enjoy some Culver's while also helping his charity.
Will you be taking advantage of this new meal release at Culver's? Are you a fan of Watt's choices for his meal?
