Graeter’s Ice Cream has the perfect s'mores-flavored ice cream

There are certain flavors that are so difficult to nail down and one of those is S'mores. Maybe it's the combination of the three items, but it's just so hard to find good s'mores items until Graeter's.

If you've never heard of Graeter's, you're not alone. The Ohio-based ice cream brand is family-owned and operated with the ice cream only being sold in select stores. However, if you're curious after this review, you can place an order to ship to you nationwide, but that's a detail for later.

The thing that sets Graeter's apart is the process of how they go around making ice cream. The brand's website gives a bit more insight: "Our old-world process brings a taste of days gone by to a modern world. Our 2 ½ gallon batch size is the industry's smallest. By freezing a high-butterfat mix in such small batches, we produce a dense product with no added air." For those who have tried Graeter's, I'm sure you can taste the difference.

Hopefully, by the end of this review, you'll be as excited about Graeter's as I am and will also consider making a trip to Ohio just to get your hands on some.

Graeter's S'mores Ice Cream is the best we've ever tasted.

While some might say that the tagline gave my thoughts away, I have to give a brief backstory. I am someone who loves s'mores. I have loved it since I was a kid and it's still a favorite I'm constantly excited about. A number of different places have disappointed when it came to s'mores until I tasted Graeter's.

From the first second that I tried Graeter's S'mores Ice Cream, I was in love and I'm not being dramatic when I say that. I truly wished that I could have eaten the whole thing because it was that good. The ice cream gives you that graham cracker flavor you're used to. Coupled with the mini marshmallows and chocolate swirled throughout, it's truly unlike anything else I've ever had the pleasure of trying.

The one thing of note that I still can't get over is just how fresh everything tasted. The marshmallows were soft yet the chocolate had a snap to it. I truly couldn't have asked for anything better and somehow, Graeter's Ice Cream exceeded my expectations. If you're a s'mores snob like me, you're bound to absolutely love this and recommend it as I have.

While s'mores is definitely my favorite flavor of the bunch, Graeter's sent me a few others to try which were delicious, but nothing will ever beat out s'mores for me. Whether you're located near a store that sells Graeter's or not, you have to treat yourself to some of their ice cream, s'mores, or otherwise. The brand also ships its products nationwide so if you're even further away, you can still join in on the fun.
