When it comes to releasing limited-time items, Taco Bell is king. The fast-food chain always has a plethora of LTO items being added including the Cheesy Chicken Crispanada.

This one has been talked about for a while and thankfully, it was finally released on February 15th. As with most Taco Bell limited-time items, I was excited to give it a try because I'm a huge fan of Taco Bell's shredded chicken.

In a way, this product feels eerily similar to a rolled chicken taco because it's essentially the same thing yet in a different form. The other defining factor is that the Cheesy Chicken Crispanada comes with cheese which is something rolled chicken tacos never had.

With that being said, I wanted to share my feelings after trying out the Cheesy Chicken Crispanada and if it's worth the price.

Is the Cheesy Chicken Crispanada worth its price tag?

Let me start by saying that at my location, the Cheesy Chicken Crispanada is priced at $3.49 which includes the product along with a side of Spicy Ranch. You can also get it in a box with a few other items for $9.99 but since I just wanted to try it, I decided to get the Cheesy Chicken Crispanada on its own.

Without much fanfare, I'm going to be honest and let you know that I don't think the Cheesy Chicken Crispanada is worth the price. If it was a little bit cheaper, yes but for the current price, no. I do think it's tasty but I feel like these could have been lowered just a bit in price. Before I even saw the price, I imagined they'd be around $1.99.

Either way, Taco Bell decided to price them a bit higher than that and I think that's a mistake. It would also be an entirely different story if these were bigger. They're bigger than I remember the caramel apple empanadas being but for the price, I do think they could be bigger or feature 2 for that price.

All in all, it just feels like Taco Bell is relying a bit too much on people wanting and enjoying shredded chicken so much that we're willing to pay the price. Don't get me wrong, the Cheesy Chicken Crispanada was good but it's not something I'd be willing to pay that price for every time. Of course, we'll see how it plays out but I do think this item won't be around as long.

Have you tried the new Cheesy Chicken Crispanada? Do you think it's worth the price?
