With Wimbledon kicking off this week and the US Open on the horizon, a young man’s thoughts turn from whatever else they were thinking about, and instead to tennis – and… Shakes? Well, they will start thinking about shakes, thanks to Grubhub, Joe & The Juice, and tennis pro Nick Kyrgios, who have all teamed up for a brand new taste sensation: The Big Smash shake.

Now available through Joe & The Juice on Grubhub, The Big Smash shake was designed with Kyrgios, and is inspired by “the signature strawberries and cream dessert served at Wimbledon and tropical flavors from Nick’s native Australia,” per PR provided to Guilty Eats.

That’s good and all, but what’s actually in the shake? Fresh strawberries and bananas, first of all, which is already a good start with a shake. It also includes a date puree, coconut milk, whey protein, collagen, creatine, and pitaya powder. On the latter, I had to look this up, but a pitaya is a superfruit, and while Dragonfruit is a pitaya, not all pitayas are dragonfruits. If that makes sense.

In any case, it sounds like a good shake to sip while watching tennis – and if you have a Joe & The Juice locally you should be able to pick it up in stores right now. As for online, you can snag it on Grubhub, which might be the better choice. That’s because if you order a Big Smash shake on Grubhub between June 26 and July 31, you’ll get 20% off an order at Joe & The Juice, with a minimum order of $25.

Kyrgios, mind you, is not going to be playing at Wimbledon this year due to wrist surgery. However, we'd recommend taking a nice, frosty Big Smash shake and put it on his wrist to cool that thing down.

Good cheap shakes to drink while you watch tennis? Let’s go!
