If you are a regular reader of Guilty Eats, then you know there is nothing we love more than to taunt you with fast food items that are available only in other parts of the world. Items from places like KFC, Burger King and McDonald's that you can never try.
Usually, it's a pain we can live with. Normally it's simply a variation on an existing menu item or a new take on an established product. Think the Franken Whopper or the Arbynator. Sure, it sucks we can't get it in the United States but we have plenty of things no one else does. Like Dynamic Pricing.
But every one in a while someone will introduce a new item that just sounds too good to not be available everywhere. Something so amazing that it feels like a crime to deprive the rest of the world of its greatness.
KFC in Singapore has done just that with the introduction of the new Mac 'N Cheese Kentaco. And it could be the greatest thing since bacon first met a cheeseburger.
The Mach 'N Cheese Kentaco is only available at KFC locations in Singapore.
So what exactly is a Mac 'N Cheese Kentaco? You may be sorry you asked once I'm done explaining what this gastric innovation includes.
The Mac 'N Cheese Kentaco includes macaroni and cheese, mayo and shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese all stuffed into a shell that is made of KFC's famous fried chicken. But this isn't just any old taco shell made of fried chicken.
The shell is a chicken fillet that has been marinated and hand-breaded with KFC's secret Hot and Crispy recipe. It's then fried into the classic taco U-shape and crammed full of all kinds of Mac 'n Cheese goodness.
How is this not available in the States? Americans would stand on line for days to just try one of these. It would be an instant classic like the McRib or the KFC's own Double Down.
Anyway, if you happen to be in Singapore make sure to try one. And if anyone from KFC is reading this, please, in the name of all that's holy, bring the Mac 'N Cheese Kentaco to these shores. We're begging you.
