KIND and DoorDash get parents school year ready with kid-approved bar samples
By Trey Weston
Imagine a scenario for a second. You're a millennial mother of two elementary school-aged kids and want to send them off to school with healthy snacks. However, as you open the pantry, you see nothing but Rice Krispy Treats and Gushers. That is until you head to the store and see the brand new KIND Kid School-Friendly bars -- a healthy alternative.
Available now in stores across the US is a line of KIND bars created solely for kids. The flavors are Chocolate Chip and Blueberry Muffin, made with 100% whole-grain oats and 5g of protein. And kid or not, these two options sound delicious!
KIND also celebrated the new items with a creative ad featuring two moms, Kristin Cavallari and Tori Spelling, who can add motherhood and celeb status to their list of accomplishments.
But wait, there's more. With all the moving parts associated with the beginning of the school year, DoorDash is lending a helping hand. In a partnership with KIND, Dashmart, the company's grocery and convenience store, will offer complimentary bars from August 21-28 to allow parents to see if the snack is a viable option for their children. Those who don't score on this promotion can visit their local retailer and find the item.
That said, finding a snack for children can present challenges. If they're picky, they may find themselves pushing for sugary items like fruit snacks. But with the flavor selections of the bars, maybe it can become a regular addition to the lunchbox.
And if you don't have kids, grab one for yourself. Besides, what better way to begin a morning than with a cup of orange juice or coffee and some kind of bar?
Will you be attempting to get free samples for your kids? Does this sound like something your kid would enjoy? I, for one, will happily be trying this for myself.
