KIT KAT and Krispy Kreme want to break you off a piece of that… Doughnut?

Give me a break! Give me a break. Break me off a piece of that… Doughnut? That’s what you’ll be singing when you take a bite out of Krispy Kreme’s just-announced line that combines the classic KIT KAT candy with Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

“Life is busy. Take a break with our new KIT KAT Collection. Every creamy, crispy, chocolatey-sweet bite will help turn that busy day into a sweet one,” said Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme, via a press release provided to Guilty Eats.

Like previous line-ups at the doughnut purveyor, this one will only be available for an indeterminate “limited time,” in-shop for pickup or delivery. Here's the breakdown of the three doughnuts available, per Krispy Kreme:

• KIT KAT Crunch Doughnut – an Original Glazed Doughnut hand-dipped in rich HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate icing, finished with chopped KIT KAT pieces and chocolate flavored crispies.
• KIT KAT Cookie Dream Doughnut – an unglazed doughnut filled with cookie dough flavored Kreme, hand-dipped in HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate icing and covered with chopped KIT KAT pieces, cookie crumbles, and semi-sweet HERSHEY’S chips with a delicate drizzle of cookie dough flavored icing.
• KIT KAT Salted Caramel Brownie Doughnut – an Original Glazed doughnut topped with brownie batter-flavored buttercream, covered with chopped KIT KAT and brownie pieces, and finished with salted caramel flavored ribbons.

Sounds good, don’t mind if I do! While I’m not the biggest KIT KAT fan – I’ll eat them if they get thrown in my Halloween candy bucket, don’t get wrong – the combo of melt-in-your-mouth Krispy Kreme doughnuts and crunchy KIT KAT is an intriguing one. Of the three, I’d throw out that the Cookie Dream Doughnut sounds the most intriguing, mostly because I’m a fan of Krispy Kreme’s cookie dough creme. But we’ll see, Krispy Kreme. We shall SEE.

Perhaps of note, this isn't the first time Krispy Kreme has released a line of KIT KAT doughnuts. However, the previous time, in 2019, was in the UK only and had different flavors. So take that, England! Second time we won!

The good news if you don’t have a Krispy Kreme store near you (which is actually bad news, because you really need to try fresh-off-the-line Krispy Kreme at least once in your life) is that grocery and big box stores will also be getting a 6-pack featuring the KIT KAT Crunch Doughnut, and the KIT KAT Salted Caramel Brownie Doughnut. They’ll be available at Walmart, Kroger, Food Lion, Publix, Stater Brothers, and other stores – also for a limited time.
