Kraft Mac and Cheese brings the flavor with the latest bold additions to the lineup
On August 6, Kraft Mac & Cheese launched two new flavors of mac and cheese that are all about bringing bold flavors to this iconic dish. Obviously, there is something to be said about a classic bowl of mac and cheese, but at the same time, we love to add things to this dish to elevate it. And that's what Kraft Mac & Cheese is doing here: They are elevating this classic dish.
If you didn't already know, the two new flavors are Jalapeno Mac & Cheese and Ranch Mac & Cheese. According to Kraft, "the new flavors are more than just delicious twists on a classic favorite. They embody what KRAFT Mac & Cheese has always stood for – comfort, familiarity, and a sense of warmth that has filled fans up and helped them re-ground and reset through every stage of their lives."
Each box of bold, mac and cheese costs $1.99 and is available nationwide in stores where you already pick up your blue boxes of Kraft Mac & Cheese.
And if you want to know how good these two flavors really are, we have some thoughts. We had the opportunity to try both flavors thanks to Kraft Mac & Cheese, and as a fan of all things mac and cheese, I was excited to give these a try and chat about them.
Kraft Mac & Cheese goes bold with two new flavors of mac and cheese
First up, let's talk about the Jalapeno Mac & Cheese. This was definitely a nice surprise as the jalapeno did add a bit of a kick to this classic dish. I would say that for me, this was a good option, but not necessarily my favorite. That being said, I think if you add in some chicken to this one it would actually be an amazing meal. The heat is there without being overpowering, and that is what I appreciated about this one. But I think it would have been even better if it was actually a bit hotter (and I never thought I would say that!).
Then we have my favorite of the two, the Ranch Mac & Cheese. I have added ranch to mac and cheese in the past, so having it already in the mix was amazing. It had a nice zing to it and it really did elevate the flavor of the mac and cheese, without losing the magic of the classic dish. There is something to be said for a brand knowing how much we love ranch and then adding it to their already amazing products. This is the perfect marriage of creamy, cheesy goodness and zippy flavor.
Honestly, I would grab both of these flavors again. While the Jalapeno flavor wasn't my favorite, it was still good and if I played with it by adding in fresh jalapeno bits and chicken, I think it would be an amazing meal all around.
Have you spotted these new flavors of Kraft Mac & Cheese in a store near you? Have you tried either of these flavors yet? Will you be trying these new mac and cheeses for yourself?
