Krispy Kreme is calling in the Ghostbusters to celebrate the spooky season

"Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters!" Okay, not really, but this Halloween we are calling on Krispy Kreme to celebrate all things spooky season. And what better way to make that happen than with Ghostbusters themed doughnuts?

According to the press email we received on behalf of Krispy Kreme, the brand "is partnering with Sony Pictures Consumer Products to celebrate Ghostbusters’ 40th anniversary this Halloween season with four all-new Ghostbusters-themed doughnuts." These four doughnuts hit stores starting on October 7 and will be available for a limited time only (we are really hoping they make them through Halloween). This means that if you want to enjoy the fun of Ghostbusters themed doughnuts now is the time to go!

On top of celebrating Halloween and 40 years of the Ghostbusters with these spooky treats, Krispy Kreme is encouraging customers to show off their costumes on October 31 in order to get one of their Original Glazed Doughnuts for free! We love when they do this and we really hope people take advantage of this deal and show off all of their fun costumes. (And if the Ghostbusters doughnuts are still available, why not grab one or four at the same time.)

Krispy Kreme is ready for Spooky Season with four Ghostbusters themed doughnuts

So what are the four Ghostbusters doughnuts?

• Ghostbusters Cookies N’ Creme Doughnut made with OREO® - This treat starts with their Original Glazed that has been dipped into a chocolate frosting. Then we get pieces of Oreo on top before an Oreo buttercream dollop goes in the center with a "No Ghost" sign candy tops it all.
• Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Doughnut Pull-Apart - The Pull-Apart aspect of this doughnut is so much fun as they opted for the Original Glazed Doughnut Dots that get a powdered sugar and buttercream flavored like marshmallow topping. And to finish things off, a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man candy finishes this one off.
• Ecto-Sprinkled Doughnut - This is definitely the most simple of the four doughnuts and we are here for it because it really is a classic in its own way. This one is their classic Original Glazed that has been "dipped in orange colored icing and sprinkled with neon sprinkles."
• Slimer Doughnut - I'll admit that this is the doughnut I am the most excited for as it is "an unglazed doughnut filled with lemon flavored green filling, dipped in purple and green icing with a Slimer candy." Their lemon filling is always a winner and turning it green sounds like so much fun.

We love everything about this foursome of doughnuts and we really hope we can get our hands on them before the season ends.
