Kung Fu Panda 4 is coming to Burger King

It used to be that back in the day, whenever a movie aimed at kids hit the cineplex, a fast food chain like Burger King or McDonald's would do some kind of tie-in promotion. Usually a kid's meal with toy included or glasses that featured the movie in question. 

It's something that has unfortunately passed by the wayside in recent years. McDonald's still does it on occasion but the practice isn't as robust as it used to be. And that's a real shame. Because there is nothing a kid (or an adult) loves more then a toy that they will adore for five minutes and then forget completely about. 

Which is why when I heard the news that Burger King was doing a tie-in for the upcoming Kung Fu Panda 4 in conjunction with DreamWorks and Universal Pictures, it put a nostalgic smile on my face. Because in addition to toys we're getting a new sundae!

Kung Fu Panda 4 arrives at Burger King on March 4

First let's talk about the toys. There are going to be six of them and you get one whenever you purchase a King Jr. Meal. They include Tai Lung, Chameleon, Master Shifu, Zhen, and and two different versions of our hero Po.

Then there is the Po's Panda Sundae, which get's points just for having such a clever name. The Po's Panda Sundae includes vanilla soft-serve ice cream that has been topped with chocolate syrup and Oreo cookie crumbles. 

Along with all that Burger King is also releasing a pair of new crowns that will tie into Kung Fu Panda 4. So if you ever needed an excuse to get a crown from the Home of the Whopper and not get laughed at by your partner, you're in luck. 

All this Kung Fu Panda goodness will be available at Burger King locations nationwide beginning on March 4. It goes without saying that these will only be available for a limited time so get them while you can. Kung Fu Panda 4 arrives in theaters everywhere on March 8.
