Today, January 11, is National Hot Toddy Day. It's a holiday we all know, all celebrate and are all aware of. Which is exactly why it's so exciting Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams took today to announce their brand new Hot Toddy Sorbet.

On the off-chance you don't know what a hot toddy is, there are innumerable regional variations. But essentially it's spiced hot water or tea, with a shot of liquor, usually whiskey. It's the perfect beverage for a nightcap, or to warm up after playing in the snow.

Jeni's riff mixes orange, lemon, honey, cayenne pepper, and Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey together to make a boozy sorbet that probably won't warm you up, but it will make you feel nice and chill. The new flavor is on sale for $12 over at the Jeni's website, or you can order through the Jeni's app. Or if you're near one of the many Jeni's scoop shops, you might be able to snag a pint there.

The Hot Toddy sorbet is just the latest in Jeni's extensive line of boozy ice creams. The Cocktail Party Collection, which retails for $58, contains mouthwatering flavors like Middle West Whiskey & Pecans, Brandied Banana Brûleé, Sorbet Frosé, and Dairy Free Rum Ball. Oh, and if you're worried about getting wasted while eating ice cream? Don't be. Though Jeni's doesn't list the exact alcohol content on their website, a negligible amount of spirits is used in making the frozen treats: a previous collabo with Uncle Nearest clocked in at less that 0.5% alcohol, not enough to get you shnockered even if you ate the whole pint.

The new flavor is only available for a limited time, so grab it while you can. And one hot (cool?) tip: make yourself a real hot toddy, and throw a scoop of Jeni's in to really spice things up. Why not celebrate Hot Toddy Day in style?
