Get ready for the Paris Olympics with a sweet treat from Krispy Kreme
On July 26, the Olympics kicks off in Paris, France. And for a lot of us, now is the time to get into the spirit of the games. And while we may not be heading to Paris to watch the athletes representing their countries, that doesn't mean we can't enjoy a sweet treat inspired by the games.
Thanks to Krispy Kreme, we are getting a "Passport to Paris" with a new collection of delicious doughnuts. But what does that even mean? Well according to the press email we received, starting on July 15, Krispy Kreme is releasing three flavors inspired by the games that will be available for a limited time.
So what are those flavors? And what makes them so special?
Krispy Kreme releases a Passport to Paris collection ahead of the Paris Olympics
The three Paris-inspired doughnuts are the Crème Brûlée Doughnut, the Double Chocolate Éclair Doughnut, and finally the Raspberry & Vanilla Crème Doughnut.
- The Raspberry & Vanilla Crème Doughnut: This starts with their classic, Original Glazed Doughnut which is then dipped in an icing of raspberry with pieces of cookies. Then they top it off with a pretty Vanilla Kreme dollop. This is a fun one, both in terms of looks and flavor profiles.
- The Double Chocolate Éclair Doughnut: For this doughnut, we start with a doughnut that has not been glazed and is then filled with their Chocolate Custard Kreme. From there, they dip it in a chocolate icing and add a line of crispy pearls of chocolate. It's a simple and elegant looking doughnut that sounds delicious.
- The Crème Brûlée Doughnut: Finally we have the doughnut we are the most excited for, this is another unglazed doughnut this time filled with a "crème brûlée KREME™ filling" and dipped in an icing of their crème brûlée caramel. To complete the look and bring this one home, they finally top it with crunchy, caramelized caramel pieces.
It is all about Parisian flavors with these doughnuts. And they are a great way to get ready for some Olympic watch parties. We definitely want to give this trio of doughnuts a try for ourselves.
What do you think of this Paris inspired collection of doughnuts? Which flavor are you excited to try? Will you be ordering a dozen of these doughnuts for yourself?
