PEEPS are taking over this spring with new merch

PEEPS are most well-known for the chick-shaped marshmallows covered in sugar. And that makes sense. That's where they started. They have gotten more shapes over the years but the chick and the bunny are what they are known for most. That might be about to change a little bit with the sheer amount of merch they are releasing this spring season. It's a lot!

First up...shoes! That's right. You can get PEEP-themed sneakers this year. The marshmallow chick brand is partnering with Heelys and coming out with pink and yellow sneakers. The yellow sneakers have the tell-tale bunnies on the sides and the front of the shoe has a bunny face and ears that are made of a plush material. Are they a bit ridiculous? Yes. But that does not stop them from being cute AF.

The pink ones have the colored chicks on the side of each shoe, but they still have the bunny ears and face on the front.

Unfortunately for us adults, these sneakers only come in kids' sizes. They are available now at both Heely's website and Journeys. Each pair is $65, so this is definitely an Easter present that's on the more expensive side, but if you can do it and your kid likes them, why not?

PEEPS bringing the merch this spring season

But speaking of adults, there is some PEEP fun for us as well, and it comes in the form of the candy brand's new collaboration with the amazing Betsey Johnson. The collection includes a bunch of whimsical symbols, but the PEEP items include two different handbags.

The first is shaped like a PEEP bunny, is sparkly with rhinestones, and comes in either blue or pink. To say it's cute would be the understatement of the year. It has a zipper that will completely open the top and the sides and a metallic strap you can put over your shoulder. It's adorable. It's not cheap, though. Each bag is around $150.

The second bag in the collection is a traditional handbag shape but has bunny PEEPS printed all over it along with black and white stripes. With a gold chain strap, it's as classy as PEEPS could ever be. This bag is $138 on Betsey Johnson's website.

But we couldn't talk about PEEPS without talking about the marshmallows as well. They are bringing out a few new flavors this spring, including a Rice Krispie-flavored PEEP, an ICEE blue raspberry-flavored PEEP, a s'mores-flavored PEEP, and a sour strawberry PEEP that I am dying to try.
