Sonic shakes up its $1.99 Menu with new options

This summer, Sonic launched a new $1.99 inflation beater menu that instantly became a hit — featuring popular items like the Quarter Pound Double Cheeseburger, Chili Cheese Coney, Small Sonic Shake, and others. But just like the leaves change in Fall, so does Sonic's $1.99 menu.

Below is the official list of new and returning items that you will want to keep a couple of extra dollar bills in your wallet for as they make their way to the value menu:

• Single Grilled Cheeseburger
• Small Jumbo Popcorn Chicken
• Queso Wraps, available in Bacon Ranch and Southwest Crunch
• Small Cream Slushes, available in Blue Coconut, Strawberry, and Blood Orange flavors
• Small Tots

"We know our guests crave flexibility and value, and our $1.99 Menu continues to deliver delicious, craveable options that please the palate and your wallet," said Ryan Dickerson, Chief Marketing Officer of Sonic, in a press release provided to Guilty Eats.

When looking at the list, Sonic has done a great job with their choices. I can't wait to splurge and get a grilled cheeseburger, popcorn chicken, and the strawberry cream slush because why not when all the options are $1.99?

Deals, deals, deals

In addition to the new look $1.99 menu, there are several exciting deals to take advantage of in October. On Mondays, Sonic is offering medium slushes for 79 cents. And then, on Thursdays, the popular fast food chain has a buy one, get one free on their tasty Foot Long Quarter Pound Coneys.

That said, Sonic will be a great spot to save money and enjoy some great options for October and beyond. My wallet has taken a beating in recent weeks, so I'm sure it'll be happy that I won't have to pull too much out of it.
