Spring Baking Championship returns on March 4th
By D. Goodman
Much like Survivor, American Idol and Law and Order, Food Network's Baking Championship series runs like a smooth Swiss wristwatch in the world of television. Ever since Holiday Baking Championship arrived in 2014, it has become a foodie TV staple and one of the network's cornerstone programs.
By now most fans are familiar with the assorted versions that have become annual Food Network traditions over the years. So they are fully aware that with Valentine's Day right around the corner, that means Spring Baking Championship will be here before you know it.
And that time has arrived. Food Network has announced that the new season of Spring Baking Championship will premiere on March 4th and that Jesse Palmer will once again be back to host the festivities and make horrible Dad jokes.
Food Network's Spring Baking Championship will have a two-hour premiere episode.
Judges Kardea Brown, Nancy Fuller, and Duff Goldman will put 12 all new bakers through their paces as they bake elaborate spring-themed cakes and confections. Week after week they will be whittled down until only three remain to compete for the $25,000 prize and the title of Spring Baking Champion.
Themes this season include treats with a tropical spring break motif as well as floral dome cakes, baked Alaska desserts and even eclairs inspired by the Kentucky Derby. That will all lead to the two-part finale that will use weddings as the inspiration.
According to Betsy Ayala, Head of Content, Food, Warner Bros. Discovery, viewers will be blown away by the bakers' creativity.
""Spring Baking Championship is the ultimate celebration of delectable desserts. Viewers will be captivated by the creativity of the talented bakers as they make the most eye-popping creations.”"
- Betsy Ayala
The new season of Spring Baking Championship arrives on Food Network and on streaming on Monday, March 4th at 8 PM.
