There are certain items that are Taco Bell staples and one of those is nachos. Whether they're loaded or plain, nachos have been part of Taco Bell's menu for the longest.

Currently, the chain has two different offerings when it comes to nachos. First is the classic Nachos BellGrande and the other is the Loaded Beef Nachos on the Cravings Value Menu. Depending on your budget, you can get what you're looking for from either.

Sometimes though, you don't want to venture out to Taco Bell or you want something you can make at home. That's where Taco Bell's At Home kits come in which are kits featuring all the ingredients you need aside from a protein and toppings. Recently, TB launched its Loaded Nachos Cravings Kit which is your chance to make Taco Bell-level nachos at home.

Even though we're Guilty Eats, we're all about saving some money where we can so we had to look at the price comparison to see if buying a kit is worth the money.

Is it better to get Loaded Nachos at Taco Bell or at home?

Let's begin with Taco Bell's Nacho BellGrande. At my local store, it's priced at $6.59 and features tortilla chips, nacho cheese, seasoned beef, tomatoes, beans, and sour cream. Of course, this is just the price of one serving. Most of us are either enjoying it alone or sharing it with someone. However, it's clear this is one you have to eat and eat quickly. As soon as the chips get soggy, it's done.

Moving onto the meal kit, this is going based on the price from Amazon. It's priced at $6.98 and features enough for 6 servings of loaded nachos. Each kit features chips, cheese sauce, mild sauce, and taco seasoning. As far as protein goes, you could go with the classic ground beef or decide to use something different such as black beans or shredded chicken. As far as toppings go, it is truly up to you to decide what you want as that's the beauty of making it at home.

While getting your protein and toppings will cost more upfront, you'll still end up spending less if you decide to go the Taco Bell At Home route. It does take a bit more time to get everything together but once you do, you'll be able to eat as much or as little as you want. Plus you don't have to worry about your chips getting soggy or having to rush to eat. Sometimes, that's the beauty of making something at home versus hitting the drive-thru.

As you can see, it's a better deal to go with the Loaded Nachos Cravings Kit rather than getting it at Taco Bell. However, the beauty of Taco Bell is getting it, eating it, and not thinking about it. No matter what you decide, you'll still be getting a tasty and filling meal which is all you can ask for. Plus with AI taking over TB's drive-thru, some might be looking to stay at home more. Either way, no one can deny a good order of nachos can make your day just a bit better.
