The Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico have the Taco Bell items of our dreams
Taco Bell is one of those fast-food chains that can be polarizing. The brand has truly become much more than just a few places here or there.
TB has branched out into other countries and even had some fun international items. While I was originally going to talk about a recent addition, I couldn't help but do a bit of research and stumbled up an item from the Dominican Republic.
To be competely frank, there are a lot of Taco Bell items I wish would come to the U.S. but this one truly takes the cake because it's just so simple. This one is so easy and simple to do that so I don't see why Taco Bell hasn't just added it to their menu already.
Either way, I'm going to break down the two items and why I think they'd be amazing additions to the Taco Bell menu in the U.S.
These 2 international Taco Bell items need a U.S. release.
In Puerto Rico, Taco Bell fans are getting something entirely unique because honestly, I've never seen anything like this. It's essentially a Taco Bell burrito but you can also dip it in nacho cheese and Ruffles. Plus there are Ruffles inside. It's also called the Ruffles Crunchy Double Dippers Burrito so that's enough to entice me.
This is one that could be easily integrated into U.S. menus because we have all those same ingredients. The only downside I could see for this one would be having to get the crushed-up chips and cheese ready. That might make things a bit slow in the prep line because that's just not a usual ingredient. Either way, it could be something.
Then for the one that made me most angry, this is where I have the most beef with Taco Bell. That was no joke even though it would have been a good one. Regardless, Taco Bell in the Dominican Republic has Nachos Bellgrande but made with Doritos. I mean come on, this one is so easy, and wouldn't even take any more work than what the chain is already doing.
It just annoyed me to no end because I know so many Taco Bell fans would love to see this on the menu and it would be a popular item. Either way, I'm hoping that the brand will heed my advice and make this happen. Of course, there are plenty of other great international Taco Bell items but those are two that I couldn't ignore after seeing them.
