The Sourdough Star returns to Carl's Jr.
By D. Goodman
When it comes to the hierarchy of fast food chains, most people will admit that Carl's Jr. isn't nearly as well known as the heavyweights like McDonald's and Burger King. Most people only know them from their racy television ads that featured Paris Hilton.
However, not being at the top of the food chain also gives Carl's Jr. a distinct advantage. Namely that they can experiment more with their menu and try things that other chains wouldn't dream of. Or at least wouldn't until they see that it is a hit with fans.
A perfect example was the Sourdough Star that Carl's Jr. offered back in 2021. The variant of that restaurant's Famous Star Burger was a big hit with the masses and soon other chains were offering burgers on sourdough bread.
The Sourdough Star makes its triumphant return to Carl’s Jr
And now they have announced that the Sourdough Star is returning to the menu for a limited time.
The Sourdough Star includes a charbroiled beef patty topped with a couple of strips of bacon, classic sauce, caramelized onions, American cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo on all two slices of thick cut sourdough bread. Hence the name.
But wait, we're not done yet. Carl's Jr. has revealed that the Sourdough Star is also available as a double. The Double Sourdough Star includes everything listed above but with an additional charbroiled patty for those that need more meat in their lives.
Both versions of the Sourdough Star are available individually or as part of a Combo Meal that includes fries and a soft drink.
A single will cost you $6.49 while a double will set you back $8.99, but prices may vary. Both are back on the menu at Carl's Jr. locations nationwide for a limited time.
