Turkey Hill goes full Barbie mode with two brand-new flavors
By Trey Weston
It's hard to believe that it has already been over a year since Barbie hit U.S. theaters across the country. The film brought millions to the movies and even helped to create the phenomenon known as Barbenheimer. That said, if you're still binging Barbie, Turkey Hill has some special ice cream that will have fans excited.
In a collaboration with Mattel, the ice cream company has announced two Barbie-inspired flavors --Strawberry Marshmallow and Frosted Cupcake. The first is strawberry swirled with marshmallow, while the other is a cupcake flavor with Barbie pink icing.
"Turkey Hill and Barbie both believe in unlocking your limitless potential and turning everyday moments into lifelong memories," said Brittany Smith, Director of Marketing at Turkey Hill via a press release provided to Guilty Eats. "With these new flavors, we're combining the sense of joy that Barbie evokes with Turkey Hill's farm-fresh goodness, creating a delightful treat to celebrate the end of summer."
In addition to the release, it is also the 65th anniversary of Barbie. It's crazy how ubiquitous the iconic brand has become since its origin in 1959. Hot Wheels and Uno were my two favorite things growing up that fall under the Mattel umbrella, but it is hard not to recognize the significant pop cultural impact that Barbie has had. And now fans can play with their favorite Barbie -- while watching Barbie -- while consuming Barbie ice cream. Wow, that's a lot of Barbie!
Anyways, if these ice cream flavors interest you, they will be available in a family-size container starting in August. However, with Turkey Hill being a regional ice cream brand, it is best to check and see if grocery stores in your area carry this item.
Will you be taking your taste buds to Barbie World to try this new collab?
