Uncle Matt's Organic quenches thirst with Ginger Honey Lemonade
By Trey Weston
When searching for a thirst quencher, not many things hit the spot like lemonade. However, drinking the popular beverage can often have health consequences. With a lot of sugar in the drink, many look elsewhere to avoid drinking their daily amount. That said, Uncle Matt's Organic has a new lemonade that looks to be a healthier alternative than some of the other ones found at supermarkets.
Available now, Uncle Matt's Organic, known for being the nation's #1 selling brand of orange juice, is adding lemonade. The new product is said to "mix tart and sweet with the natural benefits of real Peruvian ginger and Brazilian wildflower honey." In addition, it contains just 40 calories and 4g of sugar per 8oz serving, which makes it a delicious and less sugar-filled option.
"With its distinctive balance of tart and sweet, while being low in sugar, plus the digestive boost from real ginger, we're confident this lemonade will quickly become a favorite," said Susan McLean, Vice President of Marketing and Innovation at Uncle Matt's Organic via a press release provided to Guilty Eats.
If you are searching for the lemonade, you can find it at Publix or purchase it online at shop.unclematts.com. Or, if you aren't a fan of the honey flavor, they also have no sugar added regular and strawberry lemonade.
As for honey in lemonade, that one could be debated. I feel like it is a great mix with tea or a pepperoni pizza, but I'm unsure how it mixes with lemonade. However, if it means taking in less sugar, it might not hurt to be a little adventurous.
Now, as the summer winds down and people look to cut some of that summer weight, it might not be a bad idea to grab some Uncle Matt's Organic Ginger Honey Lemonade. It will allow you to quench your thirst and save some calories and sugar intake.
