The holiday season is expensive. Gift giving alone can put a strain on the budget, without even considering how much money we spend on food for the holidays. And once Christmas Day rolls around, you may not want to spend a chunk of your day in the kitchen.

If you are looking for an alternative to cooking any of your Christmas Day meals, then you might be curious about what Denny’s has to offer us in 2023. And not only are they open (although they do recommend checking your local restaurant hours), but they are also making it easier than ever to save some money on some of their classic menu items.

In fact, according to the press email we received on behalf of Denny’s, “As families watch their wallets, Denny's is delivering unbeatable dining value with the Original Grand Slam (OGS), which is back and starting at $5.99! Adjusted for inflation, this breakfast favorite, which was $1.99 when it launched in 1977, would cost you $10.15 today! But Denny's value delivers below inflation to give guests two hearty bacon strips, fluffy pancakes, eggs, and sausage without breaking the bank.”

Of course, the OG Grand Slam is not the only thing we can enjoy on the menu if we are heading to Denny’s on Christmas Day. There are also a number of other delicious meals to choose from including a Turkey & Dressing Dinner that their website says is available from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m., a French Toast Slam, and even their classic Moons Over My Hammy.

You can never go wrong with a trip to Denny’s, and this is especially true on Christmas Day. Whether you want to skip the kitchen for breakfast, lunch, or even dinner this holiday season, this casual restaurant has us covered.

So what do you think fellow Guilty Eaters? Will you be skipping your own kitchen and making a trip to Denny’s for this year’s Christmas dinner (or breakfast)?
