There are some things that just go together. Raising Cane's and Cane's Sauce is one, and so is Luke Bryan and Todd Graves. Have you ever heard of that one before? Well, you're not alone but this event went beyond serving up some great food.

On April 8th, Raising Cane's CEO, Todd Graves, and his pal, Luke Bryan, teamed up to give back to the community in a big way. Also, if you didn't catch my drift, we're talking about the beloved country music and American Idol judge. This time, though, Bryan was using his platform to uplift a cause close to his heart.

The Brett Boyer Foundation was founded by Ellen and Bo Boyer along with Luke and Caroline Bryan, as a way to honor Sadie Brett Boyer's memory. The goal of the Brett Boyer Foundation is to both fund research for congenital heart defects and to bring awareness to it. Along with that, The Brett Boyer Foundation helps to uplift and celebrate the Down Syndrome community.

The event kicked off with some fun between Graves and Bryan, who are good friends and both want to make an impact in their community. This couldn't come at a better time, though, as this Raising Cane's location hasn't even been open for six months. However, the biggest excitement of the day was Graves presenting a 1-million dollar check to The Brett Boyer Foundation.

Luke Bryan and Todd Graves served up more than just chicken fingers.

The coolest thing was hearing both Graves and Bryan talk about how passionate they are about helping their communities. It was nice to see Bryan share an answer, and Graves echoed the same sentiment and vice versa. It's truly unmatched to see two people so passionate about giving back to their community.

In the press release shared by Raising Cane's, Bryan spoke about how the foundation gives back and who it helps: "So many times when people donate to a charity they never know where the money goes, but this money goes directly to the families and kids with CHD. Not only is CHD not talked about enough, but people rarely realize the strain it puts on parents and siblings and we want to help however we can." Getting to hear Bryan say those words and hear the emotion behind them was incredible.

While The Brett Boyer Foundation was the main focus of the day, it was also nice to see two friends just having fun. It's clear that Todd Graves and Luke Bryan are friends, and they ended up having a little bit of fun with each other. Bryan served people at the counter and at the drive-thru which was so hilarious to see. If you're wondering about Luke Bryan's personality, he's exactly as he seems on TV, and learning that felt special.

Ultimately, the event was a huge success and not only raised awareness for The Brett Boyer Foundation but got the word out about all the good both Bryan and Graves want to do. Raising Cane's is truly doing work in the community, and that's something we can all get behind.
