One of the most impressive food trends of the past year and a half is the rise of Mike's Hot Honey. The sauce, which combines sweetness with a kick of heat, has quickly become a staple on many menus.
The latest restaurant to join the trend is Red Robin, which is launching a special menu lineup featuring the popular condiment.
Red Robin teams up with Mike's Hot Honey for latest menu rollout
Starting today, Red Robin is releasing three new items as part of its collaboration with Mike's Hot Honey. Here’s what to expect from the launch, according to the restaurant:
- Hot Honey Crispy Chicken Sandwich: A breaded chicken sandwich with Mike’s Hot Honey and layered with green chili aioli, fresh jalapeño and shredded cabbage mix.
- Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza: The first Donatos Pizza innovation in three years, featuring family-recipe pepperoni, smoked provolone, fresh mozzarella, crushed red pepper flakes and Mike’s Hot Honey.
- Hot Honey Wings: Bone-in wings or boneless chicken bites tossed in Mike’s Hot Honey and topped with red pepper flakes.
For those not on board with the Mike’s Hot Honey craze, Red Robin is also adding a few new items to its beverage and healthier menu categories. New drinks include a Mango Passion Lemonade and a Spicy Passion Mango Margarita, while health-conscious diners can opt for the Everything Caesar Salad or the Everything Chicken Caesar Wrap.
While those options sound appealing, the real highlight is another major restaurant cashing in on the ever-popular Mike’s Hot Honey trend. I can’t wait to try the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza and Hot Honey Wings.
If you’ve ever had the Bee Sting Flatbread from The Cheesecake Factory, this pizza could be an even better version of that, especially when you consider the flavor profile that Mike's Hot Honey provides.
With bottomless drinks and sides already a reason to visit Red Robin, the Mike’s Hot Honey menu is yet another incentive to say yes to the brand that makes you say, “Yum.”
