Spicy McNuggets set to return to McDonald's but only in select spots
By Trey Weston
If you’ve been paying attention to the news in the last couple of weeks involving McDonald’s, you’re likely aware of the trouble surrounding the company’s Quarter Pounders. However, something that has been quietly announced is the return of the Spicy Chicken McNuggets.
Time to dial the heat up once again on your nuggets
According to an Instagram post from popular food blogger @Markie_devo, everyone’s favorite item — which, for some reason, has not been made a permanent option — will once again appear in U.S. markets starting Nov. 4. However, it is not expected to be a nationwide release. The cities mentioned include Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, Memphis, and New York, though there may be others.
Regardless of where the product becomes available, it’s nice to see these spicy nuggets resurface. The spice mix of cayenne and chili has always provided a great way to switch things up from the original nuggets, which don’t have that same kick. Though, of course, the classic ones are pretty good as well.
Beyond the McNuggets, it’s been an exciting year for the fast-food chain when you consider all of the new releases and announcements. Not long ago, we had the Chicken Big Mac, and there was also news of a Krispy Kreme partnership, the Big Arch burger, and chicken strips being tested, which could ultimately foreshadow the return of the McWrap.
Yes, it’s safe to say it’s a good time to be a McDonald’s fan — unless you’ve consumed a Quarter Pounder during the E. coli outbreak. But beyond that, the company is preparing us for a 2025 filled with delicious new and returning items.
With that said, we can only hope the Spicy McNuggets find their way onto the permanent menu. Until then, I guess I’ll have to plan a little road trip to enjoy the fiery deliciousness of McDonald’s, as my area isn't included.
