The holiday season is upon us, and that means that the holiday drinks menu is also back at Starbucks. For some of us, that means returning favorites, hitting the menu once again. However, for others, it might mean, trying to find an alternative to what you usually drink.

While we can always attempt to come up with a drink off the holiday menu that we want to try for ourselves, what if you didn’t have to do that? What if Starbucks gave you an alternative to your favorite drink? Would you give their alternative drink option a try?

In a post shared to the Starbucks Instagram account on November 19, they shared some of their festive alternatives to some of their classic menu items. So what are they suggesting for people who usually order a Pink Drink or a Hot Chocolate?

What are Starbucks' suggestions for festive drinks based on what you normally order?

Let's start with the two drinks that I found to be the most interesting alternatives. Up first we have the Pink Drink, which they recommend swapping for the Cran-Merry Drink. We have tried both of these drinks and we think this is a great seasonal swap. The only issue we have is that the Cran-Merry Drink won't be sticking around as a permanent menu item. Then we have the Hot Chocolate which they are swapping for the Peppermint White Hot Chocolate. It makes perfect sense as an alternative drink for the holidays.

So what were the other swaps that Starbucks recommended? That would be the Cold Brew with Sugar Cookie Cold Foam as a replacement for the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew and the Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino for the Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino.

While the Cold Brew swap actually does make perfect sense, it is also one of those suggestions that you can play around with now that they are offering all of their holiday flavors as cold foams this season. Maybe you don't love Sugar Cookie and you do enjoy Peppermint Chocolate Cream, then you could try that Cold Foam instead. Or maybe Chestnut Praline is your thing. Then you could swap for that particular Cold Foam as an option on your Cold Brew. No matter what you decide to do, there really seems to be countless ways to make each festive drink your own.

We love that Starbucks decided to give their customers suggestions for holiday drinks to try if you already have favorites on the menu. And we may have to give their Cold Brew suggestion a try just to see if it really is a good alternative drink.
