If you haven’t heard the news already, Taco Bell recently introduced chicken nuggets back in December — and not just any nuggets. These deep-fried bites of deliciousness were such a hit that they sold out nationwide in under a week.
Sounds like a clear case for an encore — and Taco Bell agrees.
The Taco Bell Crispy Chicken Nuggets are back once again
Starting April 24, Crispy Chicken Nuggets will return to Taco Bell locations nationwide. Developed after testing more than 50 different recipes, these nuggets feature a crunchy tortilla chip breading and were first introduced during a limited run in December. Fans flocked to try them, and demand quickly outpaced supply.
Alongside the return of the nuggets, Taco Bell is bringing back three popular dipping sauces: Hidden Valley Spicy Ranch, Bell Sauce, and Jalapeño Honey Mustard.
Don't call it a comeback
While the last run was short-lived, Taco Bell has signaled that it’s serious about making crispy chicken a permanent menu item by 2026. So, while this rollout may be limited time again, it's possible that the nuggets or other crispy creations could appear down the road.
I don't know about you, but that is exciting to think about because imagine being able to get your nuggets, a chalupa/quesadilla, some nachos, maybe some cinnamon delights, and a Baja Blast, all from one spot. I can't think of a better way to do the late-night munchies than that.
As for the immediate future, if you haven't tried these nuggets, you should definitely do so. Also, for sauces, I found the Jalapeño Honey Mustard to be my favorite of the three.
Now, we wait till next week to once again chow down on some delicious nuggets from Taco Bell. And, fingers crossed, we see it become a permanent addition to the menu in 2026.
