According to the company, these chicken wings are "marinated and tossed in a garlic-infused buttery sauce inspired by the Cajun flavors of Louisiana." And they are not lying when they say this, as we got the opportunity to try this new chicken wing for ourselves.

These wings have a velvety sauce over the crispy chicken that is full of flavor. There is definitely a kick of heat to the sauce that will get your lips and tongue tingling in the best way. We definitely get the heat with these wings, although I wish we also got more of the garlic flavor throughout.
Not only did we try these wings without any dipping sauce, but we also dipped these in ranch dressing, as well as their sweet heat sauce. Personally, I don't think the sweet heat sauce is necessary with these wings, and instead I found the ranch to be the perfect accompaniment to the crispy skin and spicy sauce. The ranch also adds a bit of zip to the flavor profile that really works with the heat of the new sauce.
These new Louisiana Garlic wings are definitely a must try for anyone who likes a kick with their wings, but who may not want something on the Nashville Hot level of heat. It also helps that the sauce these wings are coated in is full of flavor, which makes them a new favorite.
We will never say no to Popeyes and these wings are definitely a yes for us. Now we just need to add these to our watch party list for the big game and we will be all set.
