In recent years, Tropical Smoothie has done a fantastic job of offering limited-edition smoothie flavors, and bringing back popular ones based on customer demand.
Tropical Smoothie's springtime favorite smoothies are returning next week
On April 20, Tropical Smoothie will reintroduce two superfruit smoothies in cafes through May 31, while supplies last. They are the Dragon Fruit Smoothie and Starfruit Smoothie.
The Dragon Fruit Smoothie is described as a "mini-island getaway." In addition to dragon fruit, which headlines the drink, there is also mango, pineapple, and banana mixed in. The Starfruit Smoothie is called "tangy and sweet," with mango, strawberries, and lime added to the starfruit.
Dragon fruit and Starfruit are antioxidant-rich fruits grown outside of the United States. Dragon fruit, also known as pitaya, has a rich purple color and is grown in southern Mexico and Central America. Starfruit is yellowish gold in color and native to Southeast Asia and India.
As with Tropical Smoothie's other 19 smoothie offerings on the regular menu, the Dragon Fruit and Starfruit Smoothies can be customized with add-ins and supplements. Customers can also control the added sugar in their smoothies by substituting Splenda, using half Turbinado, or no Turbinado to control the amount of added sugar in their smoothies.
If you crave a Superfruit Bowl, Tropical Smoothie has you covered

The Dragon Fruit Bowl is part of Tropical Smoothie's bowl rollout in January 2025 and is a year-round item. Other fruit bowls on the menu include the Acai Bowl, Acai Bowl with Nutella, Bahama Mama Bowl, and the Mixed Berry Greek Yogurt Bowl.
