When it comes to celebrating Easter, there are certain things we automatically think of. And for me, both eggs and chocolate are at the top of that list. So it may come as no surprise that Kinder Joy is definitely on my radar for Easter.
And with Easter landing on April 20, we don't have a lot of time left to prep for the holiday. But luckily Kinder Joy can make life a bit easier. So we were excited to learn that Kinder Joy and Vanessa Lachey were once again partnering with each other to get into the spirit of Spring and Easter.
We had the opportunity to ask Vanessa Lachey about her partnership with Kinder Joy and how she has fun with the family at Easter. Check out our interview with the actress below. And remember, Kinder Joy is a great addition to any special moments.
Vanessa Lachey talks Easter and Kinder Joy with Guilty Eats
Guilty Eats: What are some of your tips for Easter fun with the family?
Vanessa Lachey: "I LOVE celebrating Holidays with my family and friends. One thing I always love to do is have a separate kids table for them to gather and feel a little more independent. They have their own place setting, non-breakable of course, and appetizers that they are excited to eat. One of my favorite ideas that the kids also love is a craft paper table covering. I put cups of crayons or markers on the table and they can stay creative and active drawing or playing games while the grown ups eat. At the end, you have a colorful piece of art and lots of smiles."
Guilty Eats: How do you incorporate Kinder Joy into your holiday activities?
Vanessa Lachey: "I am a huge believer in traditions. I love creating moments my kids can look forward to doing and maybe even carry on to their families one day. Every Easter they can look forward to an Easter basket. The beauty of the tradition is also great because no matter where we are whether it’s home, vacation or out of town, their basket always shows up! Inside my kids look forward to certain traditions, one of these being the Kinder Joy eggs I add every year. They love the double surprise of a treat and toy. It’s so great to fill their basket with these eggs because they have a fun activity while they enjoy the yummy treat."
Guilty Eats: What made you want to work with Kinder Joy again?
Vanessa Lachey: "I have always been a fan of Kinder Joy and so have my kids. I love seeing their faces light up when they open that egg! As a mother I’m always wanting to create fun moments of surprise and this is a fun one for us! Plus, my kids think I’m the coolest Mom partnering with Kinder Joy!"
Guilty Eats: What are your favorite Easter treats and what’s a must have food item at your Easter meal?
Vanessa Lachey: "We always look forward to hosting family and any friends who can’t travel home. Easter kicks off Spring so I really get into a dessert table with my Kinder Joy eggs and florals and tons of treats. It makes for great decor AND a fun edible station. For dinner I always have a ham but I think the hit each year is my corn casserole. I have done so many different variations, but it’s one both grown ups and kids enjoy."
Guilty Eats: What are your favorite things to have in an Easter basket?
Vanessa Lachey: "I love mixing treats and toys or activities. It’s a fun time to sit down with the kids and explore together. My kids have had the same basket since they were one and I love seeing their faces every year!"
