When we think about Dunkin, we think about donuts and coffee. But for the 2024 holiday season, they also want us to think about almond croissants.

As part of their holiday menu, Dunkin decided to give us a limited edition almond croissant. And if you are anything like us, this is actually quite exciting news because we love almond croissants. The problem is that they can be very hard to find, at least in our area.

So as soon as they released their almond croissants, we had to try them. And we immediately bought multiples. There were two reasons for this. We wanted to be able to try it right off of the shelf from the store, and we wanted to try it heated up. plus, sometimes you want to add something to those croissants, so we bought three.

Are the almond croissants from Dunkin worth ordering?

Up first, let’s talk about the almond croissant, straight off the shelf, not warmed up. in general, I would say this is a good croissant. It wasn’t amazing or next level, but it was tasty. It’s exactly what you expect from a Dunkin croissant.

Then we tried it warmed up. And I have to say that I liked it this way better than just off the rack. I think trying it warmed up is a better option because it allows the butter to really infuse throughout the croissant. This ended up being the winner for me, but you have to eat it as soon as you get it warmed. Because once it cools down again, it’s actually not as good as even getting it straight off of the shelf.

Finally, we also tried this one with a bit of jam. And it was quite tasty as well, but that likely has a lot to do with the fact that the jam adds flavor to the mix. But hands-down, the winner was the warmed up croissant.

If you enjoy almonds and croissants, then this is the perfect marriage. It’s a great treat. And it’s exactly what I expect from Dunkin.

Have you tried one of these croissants yet?
