When will Hell’s Kitchen Season 18 premiere on FOX?

Just before the FOX Upfronts on May 14, the lineup for the 2018-2019 season was announced. Hell’s Kitchen season 18 was on there.

Gordon Ramsay isn’t going anywhere just yet and Hell’s Kitchen Season 18 will premiere soon. Before FOX took to the stage for its Upfronts on May 14, it released its lineup for the 2018-2019 season. This lineup doesn’t give an exact date, but we do get an idea of when to expect the passionate chef back on our screens.

FOX has decided to place Hell’s Kitchen Season 18 in the fall lineup on Friday nights. That means we’re looking at a September start. With this in mind, we can look at Hell’s Kitchen Season 17 for an idea on the premiere date. The show premiered on September 29. So, we’ll be looking at September 28 for the 18th season of the show.

The reality show that sees contestants battle it out for the job as head chef at one of Ramsay’s most prestigious restaurants will air at 9 p.m. EST on Friday nights. This could be considered a death slot for many scripted programs but it has fared relatively well for the series in the past. Plus this allows FOX to air more of Ramsay’s programs—and, boy, does he have a lot!

Last Man Standing, which was unexpectedly brought back from the grave, and new series Cool Kids will kick start Friday nights, before moving into the unscripted series.

Before Hell’s Kitchen premieres, we’ll have another Gordon Ramsay unscripted program to look forward to. MasterChef Season 9 premieres May 30 at 8/9c with a two-hour special. The following week will also have a two-hour episode and will then settle to one-hour slots at 8/7c on Wednesdays.
