If you ever wondered if a Kit Kat was a chocolate bar or a biscuit, the results are in, putting this very important question to bed.

Some call it a biscuit and others call it a chocolate bar. But what exactly is a Kit Kat bar? It’s a question which has been the cause of some much-heated debate for some time now but the answer has finally been given.

Kit Kat ran a poll during the national food holiday, National Biscuit Day, asking to put an end to the question; biscuit or chocolate?

747 people chipped in to settle the debate and the majority found that the Kit Kat is part of #TeamChoc. A whopping 72% of people voted that a Kit Kat is a chocolate bar, that is a total of 538 people. While only 209 thought it was a biscuit.

So its official, sort of. The Kit Kat is officially a chocolate bar rather than a biscuit. No doubt this will not be the end of this argument, we will most likely see the argument pop up again at some point in the future but for now, the people have spoken.

It will be interesting to see if this kicks off any other polls for other major products. The Jaffa Cake would be the most obvious one. Is it a cake or a biscuit? Another argument that has been raging on for years.
