Masterchef Season 9 got off to a hot start—yes, pun completely intended—and things are getting even hotter. It’s time for the cooks to face off against each other again for a place in the top 24.

Masterchef Season 9 promised us an intense season and that’s certainly what we got in the two-part premiere last week. Now things are getting hotter in the kitchen and in the competition. There are only 24 aprons available and the cooks need to battle it out against each other to earn a place. Think of it like The Voice but with a cooking twist.

This is where Masterchef Season 9, Episode 3 continues. The cooks will go through another round of battles to make it into the top 24. There will be tears, there will be tantrums, and there will be foul language. And that’s just going to be from Gordon Ramsay! Okay, maybe not the tears, but certainly the foul language and tantrums.

It’s not just about the cooks though. The judges will also do battle once they’ve got their eight cooks. They need to make sure they get the best contestants in their group, as they mentor these cooks for bragging rights at the end of the season. Again, it’s The Voice but with a Masterchef twist.
