12. Suzi’s Hamburgers — Charleston, WV

From the glitz and glamour of Los Angeles to the coal-producing, working-class town of Charleston, West Virginia, greasy spoons are places where those on a New Year’s Resolution can have a cheat day and not feel too guilty about it.

Speaking of Charleston, there is a diner that has become quite an institution in this part of the Mountaineer State.

Say hello to Suzi’s Hamburgers, a no-frills establishment that serves all sorts of burgers, comfort foods, and breakfasts. Suzi’s is quite famous for their breakfasts, which is pretty standard, but done with that Midwestern-style that it’s really hard to resist.

The eggs, the bacon, and the cheese biscuits, all are pretty great for the soul. One biscuit that one should try is the BLT biscuit double bacon and heavy mayo, which is everything you could ever imagine, and one that you will probably only find at Suzi’s.

While the dinners are OK, it’s the breakfast that steals the show, especially the biscuits. Read the reviews of this establishment on Yelp, and one will see many that praises Suzi’s for the biscuits. So, go for the burgers, but definitely go in the morning, and get the biscuits.
