10. Kissin’ Cuzzins — St. Petersburg, FL

Tampa Bay has become a place where food is no longer looked as fuel but as a culinary art form.

But, this is the South, and there are plenty of restaurants all over the Bay Area that serve those who are looking for soul-comforting, flavorful comfort food. One of those diners resides in beautiful St. Petersburg in a name that is definitely as southern as they come — Kissin’ Cuzzins.

Situated on busy 34th Street North, Kissin’ Cuzzins is the place to go for a hearty breakfast. In fact, it’s a breakfast/brunch only spot, and is often considered one of the best in St. Pete. One dish that many should try is the Western Omelette, which is loaded with all of your favorites.

A dish that many should try, however, is “The Lexington,” which is poached eggs that are served on top of a biscuit with oak smoked ham and hollandaise sauce. If you’re wondering what hollandaise sauce is, it’s something that really shouldn’t be explained.

It’s meant to be enjoyed.

The entire menu at Kissin’ Cuzzins is meant to be enjoyed, and believe us, plenty of people do enjoy it, both locals and visitors.
