The 2019 Mardi Gras menu has arrived at Universal Studios, and with it comes a number of interesting options, including new neon cocktails.

From February 9 until April 4, visitors to Universal Studios have the opportunity to celebrate Mardi Gras in style. Not only will there be parades with flying beads and performers, but also an entire menu dedicated to this festive event. From catfish po boys and beignets to crab étouffée and shrimp gumbo, Universal’s menu is a true Mardi Gras delight.

However, it may not be the food many of us are looking forward to, so much as the drinks, such as the extensive mimosa bar, featuring offerings like raspberry rosemary and caramel apple. And according to the parks official blog, that’s not all as Universal Studios is introducing something extremely exciting and holiday ready – neon cocktails.

The festive neon cocktails include the Vicious Voodoo, the Ragin’ Rumbalaya (sounds good to me), and the Carnival Cocktail. There is even a non-alcoholic mocktail option called the Bayou Bog Water, which includes Boba pearls in a blueberry flavor, gummy worms (as we would expect from a bog), and a mix of ginger ale and lemon.

While we have already learned about the mocktail and what it includes, even Universal doesn’t have details about the neon cocktails just yet. Instead, we know that one drink is green, one is a shade of yellow, and the third is a combination of both, or at least that’s what we know from the pictures the park has released.

No matter which cocktail tickles your fancy (although we only have names at this point) or which food inspires you to indulge, there are plenty of festive options to indulge in as we celebrate Mardi Gras and get ready for a filling Fat Tuesday. I don’t know about you, but even the Bayou Bog Water is intriguing enough for a drink or two, and since it doesn’t have any alcohol, you really can have more than one.

Beyond the park, there are also plenty of other places which are getting into the spirit of Mardi Gras, as even Applebee’s is getting into the festivities with their $1 Hurricanes. And while I may prefer a visit to Universal Studios, for more than just the menu, at least I can head to Applebee’s to celebrate.
