First of all. There is definitely going to be a new round of The Great British Bake Off this year. In fact, the show was recently looking for contestants at the start of the year. Entries have since closed.

The Great British Bake Off isn’t expected to premiere until the late Summer of this year, around August. We don’t have an official release date as of yet so don’t take that as a certainty. We’re expecting August by judging on the experience of the previous years.

In terms of the show coming to the US as The Great British Baking Show. It will arrive on Netflix. The streaming platform has the rights to show the series, billing it as a Netflix original.

When the show does return, judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith are expected to return. Along with hosts Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding.

Apart from that, there isn’t much known at the moment. At the time of writing the show was still deciding on who their contestants will be this year. Once the series does select its contestants, filming will get underway.

The show is expected to be filmed in its usual location once again at the Welford Park in Newbury in Berkshire. However, don’t expect any major news during filming. All of the filming is done in advance and in secrecy. So we’re not going to learn anything until The Great British Bake Off / The Great British Baking Show premieres.
