KaBOOM! is a non-profit charity that works with kids living in poverty and tries to give them some of their childhood back through providing safe places to play. SeriousFun Children’s Network, founded by the actor Paul Newman, is a community of 30 different camps and programs that help kids with serious illnesses and it is all done free of charge.
And this isn’t the first time Krispy Kreme has worked with these organizations. They have had a doughnut dipping station in one of the SeriousFun camps in North Carolina for 10 years and have said they will continue that tradition in more than one camp.
Employees at Krispy Kreme has also promised to work with the members of KaBOOM! to help build playgrounds with members of the community.
By donating a few bucks at your local Krispy Kreme, you are ensuring these charities can continue helping kids who need it most. And come on, who doesn’t like a free doughnut?
