MasterChef Junior premieres its new season on Tuesday, March 12, and Gordon Ramsay will encourage his young cooks in a two-hour TV special.
MasterChef Junior is cooking up its charm again in 2019. The two-hour premiere is set for Tuesday, March 12, and we’ve got all the juicy details right here.
MasterChef Junior debuts March 12
Airing on Fox, at 8 p.m. EST, MasterChef Junior will offer its fans a two-hour premiere on Tuesday, March 12.
The show is open to kids ages 8 to 13, with judges Gordon Ramsay, Christina Tosi, and Aaron Sanchez ready to determine which child wins the title of MasterChef Junior; reported Review Journal.
The young chefs have major motivation to win beyond the glory of the title. There’s a $100,000 prize as well.
The entertaining show this year will show the youngsters daring to figure out a mystery box challenge with a breakfast theme, a fish dish worthy of a restaurant, and (the one we’re most excited about) a meal for 21 circus performers.
The kids come from all over the nation, and some of them in the competition are already earning headlines.

Ramsay originally wanted to become a professional footballer. But an injury derailed that plan; he then went on and studied hotel management. Gordon focused on cooking up fabulous meals and training with chefs such as Guy Savoy and Joël Robuchon.
After taking on the role of head chef at Aubergine, Ramsay created his own restaurants around the world, ranging from the United States to Italy.
On TV, Gordon can be seen on shows such as Hell’s Kitchen, Masterchef, Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back, and The F-Word.
What’s special about MasterChef Junior
Prior to appearing on MasterChef Junior, Ramsay had a reputation as a gruff, no-nonsense celebrity chef, infamous for his often-harsh way with contestants on Hell’s Kitchen.

But MasterChef Junior has shown Gordon has a softer, sweeter side as well. A parent to four kids with his wife Tana (as well as dogs, cats, and a tortois), Ramsay often acts fatherly toward the young cooks on the show, encouraging them when they’re tearful and giving out hugs.
