Del Taco to offer Beyond Meat throughout the nation
By Callum Gunn
Beyond Meat will be available in every Del Taco location across the nation, as adopting a plant-based diet continues to grow in popularity.
Following in the footsteps of the likes of other big name fast food chains and restaurants, Fatburger, Carl’s Jr., and White Castle. Beyond Meat will soon be available in every Del Taco across the nation.
The plant-based meat substitute is currently being tested out in select Del Taco locations across the country. A test that has clearly been a huge success; according to the Los Angeles Daily News, Del Taco CEO John D. Cappasola announced Beyond Meat would become available in every location across the nation during an investor’s meeting.

There are, approximately, 594 locations across the nation. It is expected the addition of Beyond Meat in every location will be completed by the end of April this year.
This decision highlights just how much the plant-based diet is growing in popularity and more importantly, how fast food chains and restaurants are embracing the change. It wasn’t too long ago that you would hear about how the plant-based diet was nothing but a phase and would soon die out.

That, I think, has clearly not been the case. Instead of things fizzling out, it has grown. And business’ are clearly accepting that as well by opting to make changes to their menu and offer more plant-based options to consumers.
