Chick-Fil-A is in hot water for the use of the controversial ingredient MSG

Fast food giants Chick-Fil-A have once again popped up in the headlines, usually it is for their political views but this time it is for the use of the ingredient MSG in their food.

MSG has been a hot topic among people for a number of years now. On the one hand, we hear how it is perfectly fine for us. On the other, we hear how terrible it is for us. Because of the uncertainty, many fast food chains, restaurants and makers of our food have chosen to avoid the ingredient, but not everyone. Including Chick-Fil-A.

The fast food chain, which has been steadily growing in popularity for sometime now, is normally in the headlines due to its political views, but in this case it is for the use of MSG.

First reported by TODAY, the use of the ingredient is a surprise. With other fast food chains, such as Burger King, avoiding the use of the ingredient, for Chick-Fil-A to be labelled as one of the only fast food chains to be using the ingredient is a fairly significant moment.

An announcement like this could see many fans of the chain decide to no longer frequent their premise. With all the confusion over if the ingredient is good or bad for you many have just decided to avoid it all together.
