Red Robin: New campaign focuses on building those family connections

Restaurant chain Red Robin is focusing on families with their new campaign; a campaign which aims to bring families much closer together each and every week.

“Families who eat together, stay together” is the saying, or something like that anyway. Unfortunately, when you look at the statistics of families who do spend time together, it doesn’t paint a very happy picture. Thankfully, Red Robin are looking to change that.

According to the research, an average American family only spends 37 minutes of quality time with each other per day. Which is depressingly low number.

While the amount of quality time spent together is really low, new research from Red Robin shows both parents and children want that number to increase. With 70% of parents and 73% of children wanting to spend more time with each other.

Red Robin has decided to take action based on the results found by introducing play “full” days for families every Thursday throughout the month of August. More details are still to be announced about the days, but here is what is known about them do far.

Thursday, August 8 – Family Date Night

Mom and Dad are being invited to take their kid out on a fun date night.

Thursday, August 15 – Kids Choice Day

The kids are the ones who are in charge of choosing what you will be eating.

Thursday, August 22 –Dessert First Day

Be prepared to eat dinner completely backwards as you will be served dessert first, then the meal, followed by the appetizer.

Thursday, August 29 – 20 Questions Day

It’s time to play 20 Questions while having your meal. One member of the family picks an object and the rest of the family have to ask simple yes or no questions, 20 in total, to see if they can guess the object.

Like I said earlier, more details about each day are still to come and as soon as there is more to share you will hear about it right here, but it looks like Red Robin is going to be the place for families to eat each and every week as each one of these events sounds really good. For both parents and kids.
