Forget the PSL at Starbucks as this is the season of the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew

Starbucks is introducing their newest pumpkin creation and it is set to give the PSL a run for its money this fall with the help of Cold Brew lovers.

Since 2003, the Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks has been a right of passage for Fall. It is the ultimate drink for anyone looking to get into the spirit of the season. And whether you opt for this drink hot or iced, there is something about the PSL that brings to mind cozy nights surrounded by pumpkins and falling leaves.

But now it seems like it is time for a new pumpkin drink to emerge as a contender for Fall supremacy. In a press release from Starbucks, the coffee chain has announced their latest pumpkin creation and for Cold Brew lovers, this is one drink you won’t want to miss.

Starting on August 27, Fall is in full swing at Starbucks with the arrival of not only the seasonal favorites of PSL and the Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino, but also the debut of the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. As Delish pointed out, this is the first time an iced pumpkin drink has been added to the menu since the original introduction of the PSL in 2003, although there is a Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Latte that is actually not on menus.

For Cold Brew lovers, this is a chance to expand your drink options. And if you love all things pumpkin, then this is an added treat when it comes time to snag a refreshing and cool treat on your next Starbucks run.

If you’re curious about what makes the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew so special, it is obviously the pumpkin syrup being used. However, think about this drink as a play off of the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew. Not only do they use the classic Cold Brew, but there is also vanilla along with “a float of pumpkin cream cold foam .” The cold foam is simply a frothed vanilla sweet cream that has had pumpkin spice sauce mixed into it.

But that’s not all that makes the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew a must try treat. On top of all that yummy goodness, there is also pumpkin spice topping which is a mix of spices including nutmeg and of course cinnamon.

Much like the PSL, the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew gives you the chance to enjoy the flavors of a pumpkin pie without all of the baking.

Honestly, I am so excited for this new addition to not only the Starbucks menu, but also the lineup of pumpkin drinks we can snag this Fall. There is something comforting about a drink that reminds you of everything from apple picking to pumpkin carving.
