Starbucks is giving away free coffee to end 2019
Starbucks is ending 2019 with a bang. And what that means is customers can get their hands on some free coffee at select locations.
When it comes to ending a year, we often think of sales and vacation. The days after Christmas and before the New Year starts can feel like a weird mix of laziness and frantic efforts to end the year right. And for Starbucks, the end of 2019 means giving away free stuff.
According to USA Today, Starbucks announced on Dec. 26 that they were planning something special to end the year (and the decade). Through the end of 2019, they will be giving away free espresso drinks.
In the announcement from Starbucks, they explained that the will be hosting, “more than 1,000 “Pop-Up Parties” at 200 select U.S. stores each day Friday through Dec. 31.” And considering Dec. 26 is also a Thursday, they are kicking off this party with their last Happy Hour event of the year.
Not only is Starbucks giving away free coffee every day until Dec. 31, but they are starting it all with their Buy One, Get One Free offer that has made December a real treat for many customers.
In terms of their pop-up parties, the locations will be changing every day, which will give more people a chance to snag a free coffee. The pop-up will take place between 1 and 2 p.m. local time. And if you were wondering about what drinks they will be giving away, have no fear as they released that information too. Among the drinks that Starbucks will be giving away are “Peppermint Mochas, Iced Toasted White Chocolate Mochas, lattes, macchiatos and more.” Of course, there is a limit of one free drink per customer, and the free drink will only be available in a Tall size.
Honestly, this is such a fun way for Starbucks to end 2019. We love that not only are we getting our final Happy Hour of the year on the day after Christmas, but for the rest of the year there will be a chance to get a free espresso based drink. This really does seem like the best way to end a decade… with free drinks.
