Folks, Peeps now has a Hot Chocolate Kit
By Kareem Gantt
It’s April, and that means the Peeps are back in full force. Now it has taken on a new form — becoming a hot chocolate kit.
In some ways, it was always destined that Peeps would get into the hot chocolate business (to the horror of some of us).
For some context, there is little secret on this site that these sugar-coated marshmallows are my least favorite candy. While I won’t knock someone for liking the Easter (and now what looks like every holiday on the calendar) treat, it will take an act of God for me to change my mind on these bunny and chicks marshmallows. Now, Peeps has finally gotten into the hot chocolate business, coming out with a specialty hot chocolate kit for their fans.
According to Delish, this new kit is a “full-on” Peeps pink hot chocolate mix, meaning that, once you make it, the drink won’t resemble hot chocolate, but you’ll get a pink hot chocolate instead.
Isn’t that swell?
For most of us non-Peeps fans, we won’t be buying this anytime soon, however, if you’re all in on these sugared marshmallows and need this hot chocolate kit in your life, you’re going to have to do a little bit of searching for the kit that already seems to be elusive. If you live near an It’s Sugar store, that’s where you’ll be able to find the hot chocolate kits in person (make sure to check if your local It’s Sugar store is open first).
If you’re trying to find it online, that’s an even more tricky find. The folks at Delish and us at Guilty Eats searched every corner of the internet to find the Peeps Hot Chocolate Mix (it was for work, and I’m sticking to that excuse), and we couldn’t find it anywhere else.
The problem is that there isn’t an It’s Sugar store everywhere, but thankfully (for Peeps fans), you can make your own Peeps hot chocolate by buying the candies and the usual hot chocolate mix at your local grocery store.
What do you think of this new Peeps Hot Chocolate Kit? Are you excited for this, or would you prefer it go away? Tell us what you think in the comments.
