Are you looking for the perfect beer to ring in summer with? Then you won’t want to miss out on Modelo’s new Chelada Mango y Chile.

Summer is nearly upon us, and while 2020 seems to have gotten off to a rough start, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t find some joy. And what could be more joyful than a new flavor of Chelada from Modelo?

For those unfamiliar with what a Chelada is, it is a short form of Michelada, which is basically a beer cocktail. And while Modelo has already graced us with three incredible Cheladas, for 2020 they have decided to give us something new to fall in love with, the Chelada Mango y Chile.

From the name alone, I am sure you have already figured out that this is a beer that incorporates mango and chile for an authentic Mexican fiesta in your mouth. And I am living for this combination. As a fan of Modelo to begin with, I was thrilled when they started offering their Cheladas, as they are something new and flavorful to enjoy at a party or get together.

Now, with their new Chelada Mango y Chile, Modelo is giving us the perfect summer beer, that is great for staying in or sunning yourself by a pool.

As an added bonus, Modelo has even given us a recipe for a Mangonada utilizing their new Michelada, and honestly, I am already a bit obsessed. The fact that it is super easy to make also helps to give us a drink we can’t wait to enjoy all summer long.

To make your Mangonada at home you need:

  • Take a tall glass and rim it with lime. Then coat the lime-covered rim with chili powder salt.
  • Add ice to the glass and then pour the Chelada Mango y Chile over the ice.
  • Chop fresh mango into cubes and add them to the Chelada and ice.
  • Add in Chamoy sauce and stir this all together.
  • Finally, garnish your drink with a wedge of mango.

Whether you drink this Modelo Chelada Mango y Chile straight up or as part of a homemade Mangonada, you know you are getting a perfect summer beverage.
