Blake Lively shared some deliciously cute Cookie Monster Waffles we can’t wait to make for ourselves, I mean– for the kids!

What can’t Blake Lively do? The star recently shared a photo of Cookie Monster Waffles she made herself, because who needs a chef? Not to mention, quarantine continues. It’s a known fact by all moms that kids are more likely to eat something that looks cute or like a character or figure they know, than a meal from a professional chef.

If we are being honest, though, so are we! Give me an Iron Man waffle or Funfetti cereal over a three-course meal any day! Okay, maybe I do love to enjoy three-course meals here and there.

The Sesame Street-inspired waffles look just like Cookie Monster, and Blake Lively shows fans how to put these together. Here’s something else we love about food: it’s gotta be easy and simply to make! And these Cookie Monster Waffles are both of these things!

Lively used blue food coloring on the waffle batter to make the waffles blue. She cut the waffle in pieces to give it texture, made the eyes with cream cheese and used chocolate disks on each eye. Finally, for the mouth, Lively crushed Sesame Street crackers (we think any cookie will do since, you know, Cookie Monster loves ALL cookies).

People shared the snap of the photo, HERE, and it looks delicious! Thanks, Lively, for the mom tip and simple recipe! I know what my kid will be having for breakfast this week…just need to run to the store for some blue food coloring. Wish me luck!

Blake Lively’s recipe is certainly way better than what professional chefs have been sharing with “food that’s just in our pantry.” Insert eye roll! Will you be giving this Cookie Monster Waffles recipe a shot?
