Wendy’s might be dealing with a beef shortage, but that’s not stopping them from offering menu deals we can sink our teeth into.
Forget the beef, it’s all about the chicken right now at Wendy’s. With a looming meat shortage already having an impact on a number of places, it should come as no surprise that the fast food chain would decide to switch things up a bit with one of their menu deals.
As Chew Boom reports, Wendy’s 2 for $5 deal has gotten a bit of a makeover, making it all about the chicken.
While a 2 for $5 deal is nothing new at Wendy’s, it typically includes at least one beef based product, which is usually a Dave’s Single. However, with a lot of restaurants completely removing beef from the menu for the time being, it makes sense to tweak the menu a bit so that customers can still get a deal when trying to order some of their favorites.

With the Dave’s Single no longer up for grabs as a 2 for $5 option, Wendy’s has opted to go for an all chicken menu deal. So, what can you get for that $5?
The new 2 for $5 menu allows you to mix and match these chicken items:
- A 10 piece Spicy Chicken Nuggets
- A 10 piece Classic Chicken Nuggets
- A Homestyle Chicken Sandwich (one of my favorites)
- A Grilled Chicken Sandwich
- A Spicy Chicken Sandwich
With these five options, there is still something for everyone, and customers still get a great deal. If you already love the different chicken options at Wendy’s, then this is the perfect time to take advantage of the menu deals.
We love a good menu deal, especially when you can get two items for what almost amounts to the price of one. And we love that Wendy’s decided to go all out with their love of chicken by giving us this meal deal to bring in customers who might be saddened by the missing burgers.
What do you think of the options on Wendy’s revamped 2 for $5 menu? Will you be heading to their drive-thrus in order to snag these chicken deals? Tell us what you think in the comments.
